Kioku LLC provides the Kioku service. Email support@kiokuu.com. Include the device platform, the feature you were using, what you expected, and any error message you saw. Do not send passwords, API keys, one-time codes, government identifiers, payment-card data, or private archive excerpts by email.

Connect Kioku to ChatGPT or Claude

Kioku is a read-only MCP connector. Both assistants connect to the same address:

Before you connect: install Kioku on your Mac, sign in, and record at least one conversation so there is something to find. Use the same Apple or Google account everywhere — a different account is a different, empty archive.

Claude (web, desktop, and Claude Code)

1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors (on some accounts it is Settings → Connectors).
2. Click +, choose Add custom connector, name it Kioku, paste the address above, leave the advanced OAuth fields empty, and click Add.
3. Click Connect. Kioku’s sign-in page opens: continue with the same Apple or Google account you use in the Mac app and approve read-only access.
4. In a chat, open the + menu, choose Connectors, and make sure Kioku is on. Then ask: “What did I work on this morning?”

Works on Claude Free (one custom connector), Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise. On Team and Enterprise an owner adds the connector first, then each member connects.

ChatGPT (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu)

Kioku is not yet listed in the ChatGPT app directory, so it is added as a developer-mode app, on the web:

1. On chatgpt.com, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode. Labels vary a little by account; it is always a switch called Developer mode.
2. Open chatgpt.com/plugins, click +, and create a developer-mode app. Name: Kioku. Description: “Search my Kioku memory of meetings, calls, and what was on my screen.” MCP server URL: the address above. Authentication: OAuth. Save. It appears under Drafts in your app settings.
3. Sign in with the same Apple or Google account you use in the Mac app and approve read-only access.
4. In a new chat, open the + menu, choose Developer mode, and turn on Kioku. Then ask a question only you would know the answer to.

Free ChatGPT accounts cannot add custom apps. Kioku’s tools are marked read-only, so ChatGPT does not ask you to confirm each call.

The integration can search and read your own Kioku archive. It cannot start or stop capture, edit or delete your data, or send email.

Troubleshooting a connection

• The sign-in page says “Start this connection from ChatGPT or Codex”: You opened Kioku’s authorization page directly. Start again from the assistant’s Connect button, which carries the connection details.
• No recent results: Open Kioku on your Mac and confirm that recording is on. A memory appears a few minutes after you stop recording, not while it is still being processed.
• Authorization expired: Disconnect Kioku in the assistant’s connection settings, then connect it again.
• Wrong account: Disconnect first, then reconnect and choose the same Apple or Google account used by the Mac app.
• Results are too broad: Add a person, topic, application, or time range to your request.

Privacy and account controls

You can pause capture, grant or withdraw iPhone Google AI processing permission, export supported cloud data, add or delete webhook destinations, or delete your cloud account from Kioku settings. Webhook events go to the HTTPS destination you choose; content-free notifications are the default. Disconnect an AI assistant from that assistant's connection settings. Send suspected security vulnerabilities to security@kiokuu.com. Please provide enough detail to reproduce the issue and avoid including private capture content unless we specifically request a safe sample.
